What are some good network marketing companies (MLM) and why?

A "Good" network marketing company has several elements.

1. Amazing product/service -- this is the most important. The company would last if you are excited about the product without the opportunity. 
2. Large consumer market -- the product needs to be a potential product for a massive number of people. This is why skin care, nutrition and weight loss are marketed by 9 of the top 10 $1 billion companies. There are very few business-to-business network marketing companies. 
3. Experienced management -- network marketing is very unique for many reasons, but mostly because of it's dependence on people. You need management that understands the psychology of this business and the only way to get that understanding is experience. Management that hasn't been in network marketing is like a runner trying to coach a swim team. 
4. Strong field leadership -- I'm not talking about people who talk about how much they've done in the past, but people who are actively in the field selling, recruiting, training and building. 
5. A system that is simple, social and fun -- make sure that it's fun to do the business and that anyone can do it. Make sure there is a training that teaches the system. Make sure you like following the system. Make sure you can teach the system. 
6. Sales of actual product or services to consumers -- MLM offers products whereas Pyramid schemes do not 

There are other things you want to consider, like compensation plan, but if the first few listed above are answered positively you are well on your way to finding a good network marketing company.

Trust me, any business you cannot put in your 100 % in the building phase is bound to fail.
This is what I mean. You have to make plan to build and exit your MLM business. That plan should include your activities from day one down to your exit strategy. If you fail to make this plan then you have planned to fail from day one.

Multi-level Marketing (MLM) is an advertising methodology intended to  encourage sales of products or services through system of merchants, offering multiple levels of pay.
The primary thought here is to promote most extreme number of merchants for the products and services and exponentially increment the sales force..

Pyramid schemes  are false plans, masking as a MLM technique. The contrast between a pyramid schemes and a legal MLM program is that in a Pyramid or Ponzi plans, there is no genuine trade of goods or services. That is, there is no value added to the economy. They merely cycle money . Consequently commissions are based just in light of the quantity of new people one brings into the plan.

Introduction

On Saturday, 28th of October 2017 at the Happy World Meal Gate *CAR AWARD* and one year anniversary celebration. A total of 31 people were awarded. 10 out of the 31 awardees opted for the brand new Hyundai Car worth 4.4 million Naira while 21 of them opted for 4.4 million Naira in cash. The doubting Thomas

I write to you in regret because I joined Happy world meal gate latter than I should  owing to the experience of a few close friends.

I know multi-level marketing is not for everybody and I don’t expert everybody to join. but I must not make a mistake of not telling you, in case you might be interested or know somebody who might be interested.

When Mr.  Jude Ibe approached me and suggest I join him participate in Happy World meal gate. Let me use his exact words "Oga Brown, I know say you dey busy well well, but e get wetting I want introduce to you"
After introducing me to Happy World Meal Gate I in turn gave him a "hearty advice" by sharing the experience of my friend who have been expecting ₦500,000 that never came from MMM ponzi scheme. When he left I was hoping he'd stick to my advice and stop wasting his hard earned money on fraudulent schemes.

But I made some fundamental Mistakes
(1) I did not know the difference between MLM and ponzi scheme.
(2) I should have realized he was relatively new to Happy World Meal Gate and may not have had ground breaking evidence to convince me.
(3) I should have attended a seminar.
(4) I should have done background checks and fact findings.
Four months pass-by and I call Jude to assist in testing and deployment preparation for a S&OP software I will be completing within the next one month. He showed up in a brand new Hyundai accent with Happy World Meal gate logo crested on both doors and an Award medal.

Wait a minute: But Jude was right
By inviting six people and getting each of them registered with a valid PIN worth ₦6,400.00.

Quadrant One: Employee

These people are largely dependent on their jobs for their livelihood. These people work for a company or organization to earn money. They devote most of their waking hours to that company.
Tim Sales rightly describe them as people who pretend to be working in order to earn a paycheck because they can never be committed to the work like the owner and the Owner pretend to compensate them but rather leverage on their efforts.

Quadrant Two: Self-Employed

Only slightly-better off than employees are the self-employed, who work for themselves. They still work for money but in their own terms. In a down-turned economy, the self-employed may struggle to take on new projects and their time might be filled with trying to find new job leads rather than on making money. 

Quadrant Three: Business Owner

These are the big business owners, those who have taken their skills as self-employed people and transformed them into running their own enterprises. These people have a system that works for them. 

Quadrant Four: Investor

Those in the fourth quadrant, are at the highest level of financial security. These people have money work very hard for them. Investors are those who in earn and invest money in real estate,stock markrt, bonds and other forms of dividend-yielding assets.

The key thing to note here is that people in each  quadrant  have different mindset or world view. In order to progress from one quadrant to the other requires paradigm shift which involves major changes on how we see the world around us,our choices and values.
Causing people to make a paradigm shift is what motivational speakers try to achieve when encouraging us to do investment.
